FP6 and PEER
PEER has an active role in European research supported by the 6th framework programme through involvement in numerous projects and networks of excellence.
Besides the four flagship projects, PEER members participate in various FP6 projects and networks. There are 17 STREP, 20 IP, 21 CA, 4 SSA, 4 NE and 1 SSP projects and networks, where at least one PEER member institution participates. The projects are listed by their starting times into three calls 2003 (35), 2004 (18) and 2005 (12). For more information, check the links on right.
Projects cover a vast range of themes such as: biodiversity, water ecology and flood risk management, effects of chemicals on the environment and human health, ecotoxicology, land and soil management, agriculture, forestry and landscape, ecology assessment, meteorology, climate and global change, remote sensing and telecommunications. Most of the projects have a duration of more than a year; the last ones finish during 2009.
