Online Registration & Selection



Application
Registration usually starts approx. 6 months before each event. It can be done online via the homepage of the respective events. The following information has to be provided:
  • Contact data,
  • Disciplinary background,
  • Field of research,
  • CV,
  • Proof of the relevance of the event for the scientific career,
  • Short abstract of the PhD project,
  • Expectation from the course,
  • Certificate of the last degree, 
  • Letter of support (a letter from a University Professor or Unit Head, e.g. the supervisor of your thesis, stating that you are an excellent scientist and that he/she supports your application to the course).

Selection
Selection is done by a Selection Committee. It is based on the material provided and the following criteria: scientific ability, proven need of the course for the scientific career, correspondence between research experience and field of training, adequate participation of female researchers.
